Privacy Policy

TeamBlackBox Private Limited built Take A Sip as a commercial app. This policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected when you use the mobile apps, website, and authenticated web app.
Information Collection and Use
Take A Sip collects the account identifier and email address provided by your sign-in provider. You may also provide a name, biological sex or profile reference, hydration goals, unit and reminder preferences, quick-log settings, water log amounts, activities, timestamps, and optional custom labels. We use this information to authenticate you, synchronize your data, personalize hydration progress, deliver requested reminders, and support account deletion.
The mobile apps also process app version, device and operating-system metadata, notification tokens, time zone, and notification status for compatibility, reminders, security, and support. Motion sensor readings used by the water animation remain on the device and are not stored in your account.
Third-Party Services
Take A Sip uses Google Play Services, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Authentication, Firebase Firestore, Firebase Cloud Functions, Firebase Cloud Messaging, and Android Firebase Performance Monitoring. The external account-deletion form is provided through Google Forms. These providers process data to operate the service under their own privacy and data-retention terms.
Analytics and Diagnostics
We collect app interactions, crash reports, performance measurements, device type, operating-system version, app configuration, and related timestamps to understand reliability and improve the product. Take A Sip does not show third-party advertising, request the Android advertising ID, use data for ad personalization, sell personal information, or track people across other companies' apps or websites.
Storage, Security, and Retention
Account and hydration data are stored with Google Firebase. Supported Firebase services encrypt data in transit and at rest. We use commercially reasonable safeguards, but no internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security.
We retain account, profile, hydration, and reminder data while your account is active. Deleting your account removes the active Firebase Authentication account, profile, hydration history, and reminder registry references. Limited service-provider backups, security logs, and diagnostic records may remain for the periods required by provider retention policies or applicable law.
Your Choices and Account Deletion
You can disable notifications in system settings and omit optional profile fields and custom labels. You can permanently delete your account in Profile & settings inside the app, or submit an external request from the account-deletion page.
Children
Take A Sip is not directed to children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it.
